James "Jimmy" Roosevelt II (December 23, 1907-1913, AUGUST 1991) was an American political, marine, activist and Democratic Party politician. The eldest son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt, the Marine Cross rewarded for extraordinary heroism while serving as an officer in the Navy during the Second World War. Roosevelt was born in New York at 123 East 36th Street. He attended the Potomac School and the National Cathedral School in Washington, DC, as well as the Groton School in Massachusetts.
